A message from the Principal

 As Principal of Fairhills Primary School, my dedicated staff and I are committed to all students achieving to their full potential, emotionally, academically and socially. The school motto – ‘Their future begins with us’ underpins the school’s role in ensuring that all students leave the school equipped with the necessary skills to not only achieve but ultimately to be life-long learners in their chosen profession. Fairhills PS strives to provide a stimulating learning environment that engages and challenges all students, whether they are highly able or experience difficulty with their learning.  "One of the core functions of twenty first century education is learning to learn in preparation for a lifetime of change." David Miliband, 2003. Fairhills PS embraces this notion and the experienced teaching staff, regularly participate in professional learning to keep abreast of new and exciting trends in education. The bright, attractive classrooms reflect stimulating learning environments for all students.

The school environment reflects a strong sense of pride and community spirit. The recently announced Federal Government initiative, ‘Building the Education Revolution’ which is part of the economic stimulus package, which begins this year and will enable schools including Fairhills PS to meet the needs of 21 century education. This exciting initiative will enable the building of a large new multi-purpose space which will include a music room and canteen facilities. There will also be new shade sails erected over all playground equipment and extensive re- asphalting within the school grounds.

Community involvement is a feature of Fairhills PS and your participation in the school is actively encouraged.
